Hello R2R!
My name is Joe, and I have been a very long time lurker on this forum. I had a biocube 29 a while back that I had to get rid of due to a move. It was my first time joining the salty-side, and I was hooked. I've had loads of freshwater aquariums, but it's just not the same. As many of you well know, it's impossible to stay away from this salty hobby for all that long. A small part of me has been screaming, "Don't do it! It's a lot of work!" A much bigger part of me has been an awfully terrible influence. "Just do it," that part whispers into my ears at every hour of the day. "You'll like it!" it says, as if I don't already know that. If I listen closely, I can sometimes even hear my wallet screaming from the bedroom, "What are you trying to do to me!? I don't have much green stuff for you, you fool!"
Anyway, that is where we stand. The voices in my head (and the one from my wallet) haven't been able to keep me away, so here I am. Tomorrow I will be picking up a Red Sea Reefer 170, definitely a dream tank for me, and the beginning of my second saltwater journey. I loved the first one and learned so much. I have a fair share of new wisdom going into this new tank, so that's a good thing. That being said, I'm going to need loads of help and advice along the way. That's why I decided to join the R2R community. I'll start a build-thread very soon with pictures and all. I could certainly use any help and constructive criticism you may be able to offer. This is what I'll be getting all set up:
Reefer 170
Red Sea HD 90 LED
RO Varios 2 Return Pump
RO Bubble Mag Curve 5 Skimmer
Two heaters with a cheap heater controller
Vortech MP-10 for flow
It's great to meet all of you!
Cheers,
Joe
