sb reef lights

I currently use the 16 inch basic over my tank. Everything has been growing fine over it. I have it connected to my reefkeeper and keep the blues at 25 and whites at 10 currently.

ive seen great reviews with these lights. i like having a timer and the ramping is a pretty cool feature

I don't know if the 16" will cover the entire 20L tank. Somewhere on this forum I read a post, I believe by the owner, saying you would have 2 or 3 inches darker at each end and top? He said to get the 32" is what I recall.

I have the 16" basic over my 20L and I have 4" at each end and the back is dark too. It is only 6-1/2" above the water though. And something seems wrong with it, not bright enough as my corals wouldn't open and it looks funny. I sent an email on Friday and waiting on a response.

yea i was wandering about it being too close to the water. ive just heard great things about the lights. idk what else to go with. maybe some ai primes.

What are you planning on growing?

softies. mainly. nevery really got into acros and stuff like that. acans, zoas, frogsapwn, etc

That does look nice. I'm gonna keep looking around. I got about 2 weeks before Im gonna order something

I own the Wifi version on my 40g. I had a kessil 360 which was good and all but you cant beat these lights for the price. If your wondering how well they grow. Hex Of Fish on youtube has 2 or 3 I cant remember on his 120g. They work great!

I am thinking of getting these light for my standard 29 gallon. Looking to order at the end of the week. I am just wondering how it will do with covering the tank. I don't want any real dark spots, so trying to decide between the basic 16 or basic 30.

I have a 40 cube and it covers everything. Now of course some rockwork creates shadows but my 16 works great for me!

not do worried about rocks creating shadows, more of the sides not being lit up. What are the dimensions on your 40 cube? And is that using the tank mounts?

I believe its like 24"x 22" im not 100 percent correct its the Nuvo linked in my sig. And yes thats using the tank mounts at the highest point 14"

do the Longer size, you'll be happier.

16" wifi. couldn't be happier with the price or results. Been on the tank since August 2016. Don't mind the algae, just added some new rock about a month ago and its going through some uglies.
