Sb reef lights

I have 4 SB Reef lights over my 2 tanks, they work great until you have a problem, then their customer service absolutely sucks.[/QUOTE
Emailed them with a question about their new Ultra lighting, through their webpage, last Wednesday 8-23, no word yet.

Emailed them using their own webpage connection with a question about their new "Ultra" light fixture last Wednesday 8-23, no response yet.

I purchased the 32 inch wifi, it's awesome. The strength is no joke, nearly killed some coral till I got it adjusted. I have an acropora frat that never really grew and stayed a brown color, with in two weeks, it started growing like crazy y and it's turning a bright green color.

Rumor has it that @saltyfilmfolks has one on the way.... LOL

There must be 101 different types of SB out there. Now call me cynical but if I wanted to discredit something I would choose the worse one I could find out there to highlight the potential issues with it. So if you are going to do a REAL test you would check out a number of different builds. That would give it more credence to a review. Apart from aesthetics with the case, the inners can be a totally different proposition and therefore build quality. They say never judge a book by the cover. My first SBs were of a good build quality with a proper heatsink shielded cables and decent quality drivers etc as confirmed by 2 separate electricians on a well known UK forum some years back. A self-proclaimed aquarium lighting expert who had a vested interest tried and failed miserably to rubbish them. Strangely he never came back after being proved wrong on all counts and not just build but their ability to grow SPS with colour.

My modded Mars Aquas to mimic the SB layout are growing everything in my tank very well. SPS, LPS and some softies. Very happy with them now over one year.
