I currently have a SB Lights SB Pro 32 inch with timers curious if anyone has these on a 40B What your max settings are for Whites Vs Blues?

There are many variables that determine your settings. Best to get or rent a PAR meter $40 on BRS.

Agree. Best to rent a par meter

Find a setting and intensity you prefer visually and just make sure the blue and white channels are either equal or blues outweigh the white. The small minute differences in white channel won’t make a big doffeeence outside of visually as long as you’re in an appropriate par range.

FWIW, I had 3 SB basic 16's. The 32's are basically 2, 16's. The following were my PAR numbers in my Standard 125 gallon tank. The 16's were placed approximately 5 inches apart spread evenly in the canopy, 12 inches above the waterline. The numbers were 100% blue and 60% white. It was at this setting for 8 hours with a 1.5 hour ramp up and down. ONE CAVEAT... The numbers for the SB's are in RED, not orange!!! The orange numbers are for another light that I will be reviewing shortly.

I used to run 2 16 basics over my 90 gallon, and i ran blues at 70 and whites at 30. Blues ran 12-10 and whites ran 1-8. I had good luck with growth etc. those lights are now on my 220 fowlr tank, and ill use something els on my 72 build out but thats what settings i used.
