Anyone got any tips and tricks? I just got this light.

lux or par meter to check the intensity. Mix your color bye eye. set the ramp according to your sched in life.
I have a kinda stupid long lights on, but its almost no light for the first and last hours. 8 hrs at peak.(if you do the math and get up early and work long days like I do its actually the same time intensity as a summer day)

keep in mind lights just used to come on. MH. and the reef looked great. the only concern IMO is too blue. I believe at a 1:1 the native color on the SB is 16K.

Just watch your corals, they will tell you if there is too much light or not enough.

@domination2580 be careful with this coral as it can grow out of control fast. But the good thing is you can judge the quality of your water by the way they look. This is your picture

See if your local LFS will take some and give you credit for it. My does all the time. I bring them stuff all the time. I can't keep up lol. Not a bad problem to have.

How far deep from the light are these acros? My black box upgrade comes tomorrow to go over my (newly rebuilt) 45g 24" deep setup. I will be growing everything in it that I have removed or fragged from my over stuffed (got carried away [emoji14] ) 180 lol.

I'm not sure the name of the green palys but was told they are Caribbean Greens. SUPER invasive. The Armor Of Gods are not as terrible because you can dislodge them from the rocks in most cases. Pretty as they are then multiply like crazy lol
