Hey y'all,

I am doing an 8ft build and have 2-ATI 8x54w Dimmable fixtures, but want some LED supplement. I was wondering a few things between reefbrite XHO and Sbar. I would need to order 2-48in of either, but wanted y'alls opinion on which one is better. Also I got the new apex and didn't know if the apex could control them or not. I appreciate the help.

The reefbrite leds are indeed controllable by your Apex but you would need to use a interface module that ReefBrite makes.

I think it's also possible to use the VDM module from Apex to accomplish the same thing, but I'm not 100% on that method.
The sbar is not something I'm familiar with using myself, so I can't comment on Apex compatibility but I would think it can be done.
As for my opinion on which one to go with, they are both solid but the sbar uses multiple wavelength LEDs(i.e. 450nm Blue and 420nm Violet) which I like.
Hope that helps

Thank you very much for the information and help!
