Yeah. That isn't what made him untouchable, it was his comments on 9/11 being and inside job, anti semitic things, and more.

To be honest though, other famous people spout nonsense all the time and I don't care. He made good music, I could drown out the rest. People still love Michael Jackson and he had questionable public life choices.
