Ok, so I gotta ask, what are those used for? It looks like Chorella is freshwater phytoplankton, do you use it to fatten up brine shrimp?

What is Cheatoceros used for? I cultured Phaeodactylum which is also a diatom for a bit.

I use it in 1.023 salinity and blend both to feed my Apocyclopse!

The lids are loose enough that it allows them to go all the way down without pulling or crumbling the bag.

Algae only thrives with light and nutrients. Having it pop up after adding lights is not surprising. This is all part of the new tank and is normal. Things you can do:

Manual removal
Reduce white light
Reduce any natural light that hits the tank
Reduce nutrients (Phosphates) with water changes
Reduce feedings of fish
Increase clean up crew
