I need one of those orange clip things :O

I don't think I mentioned this unit is dimmable from the control box, no apex control out of the box.

I forgot to also bust out my par meter but wife was starting to get annoyed with all the aquarium stuff laying around the house :O

I would buy again, as I can make my own brackets but if your not as handy you might want to look at a different solution.

Nice review. I just added a 36 inch sBar to my T5 set up. The pop on these bars is crazy!

I will say that I wish they used wider optics as coverage isn't great when its not mounted way up high.

I put mine with T5 so its nice that it is a little narrower, I have it aiming at the top of my rocks where the sps will go.

As a tip, I've used scotch tape in the past to diffuse leds, it reduces par by about 25-50 (measured) but diffuses it. Side effect is UV lights will break the tape down when you go to peel it off, it will not come off in one piece.

I might try that, I don't have a way to measure par so it is all guess work on my end. I think I am going to add a second one on the back of my t5s when I get a bigger tank to even out the spread.

There is a common issue on these where there is burning of the lens. Make sure you keep an eye on it. Also, the company does NOTHING about it and is aware of the issue but DOES NOT care!
