Hey all. So I’m preparing to plumb my SC aquarium 120 gallon. I’ll be using a Neptune Cor-15 as my return pump. The bulkhead that was provided by SCA is a 1/2”. It’s obvious that it’s what fits into the drilled through return to tank.

Question here is....what amount of flow should I expect with such a small bulkhead? Is a 1/2” return typical?

3/4" is the norm but normally reduced in the tank to 1/2". I would gess somewhere around 450-600 GPH depending on the pressure.

Not to disagree, but you think that with head pressure loss as well at the 1/2” opening, you believe that 1500 gallons per hour from the pump will be reduced to 450-600?
