SC Aquariums 50 gallon PNP

Devil's Hand leather coral is the common name. I think there are a couple of species under that common name but that should point you in the right direction.

Thank you

So I've noticed a couple of things. One is that my clown is now feeding it's nem! Woohoo finally get to see it upholding it's end of the symbiotic relationship. Still only one clown is in the nem. I don't think they like each other lol.

Another is that the skimmer is still foaming up after a water change. Takes like 3 or 4 days to go to normal. One idea is that the water height may be changing? I'm not sure if that's possible and I haven't been observant enough to know for sure. I'll have to make the water line next water change.

Anyone know if the water level can change in my drain/skimmer section in this sump?

A few pics I took today. My nem opened up real wide when I cut all pumps to treat with aipstasia X. Cheateo is basically taking up the entire fuge chamber! Looks like I need to start pulling some lol.

Man oh man my tank is doing all kinds of stuff lol.

Growing bubble algea... darn emerald crabs haven't even touched any of it.

Uh oh... this power head needs some service lol.
I cleaned it off after the pic but need to soak it I suppose.

Film Algea?

Hopefully it's not a spreading type haha. I scrubbed it off and of course it went straight for the powerhead before I could grab it. Looking a lot better now.

This grape caulerpa is starting to take over also. There are supposed to be Zoas on that frag.

Oh yeah the Aipstasia X didn't kill these guys. Have to try again! (Sorry light turned a lot more blue before I got this pic).

aptasia is the worst, i've done the aptasia x like 4 times now and it seems to just make it worse :(

i got a tiny peppermint shrimp which my wrasses didn't attack, but it doesn't seem to do much. maybe i'll try that f aptasia stuff, sure wish i could get a tiny copperband that would grow slow and solve that problem

Grape culepra was spreading fast so I pulled them out manually. Mostly with tweezers. Hopefully the Zoas are are still alive. Couldn't get the hydroids yet. They were too hard to remove.

The clowns have been sharing the nem more. Seems like they are bonding more and more.

One of my hammers looks like it's getting mighty big. Got most of the algea off of the glass today. Didn't take before pictures but you can imagine lol.

Still haven't tried to get the hydroids out. Something tells me my time is running short on that lol.

Looks great, I'm going to a local frag swap Saturday picking up a decent haul of corals and first BTA and first shrimp. Can't wait!

If I had those hydroids I'd pull the rock scrub the hydroids off, rinse with tap or rodi while scrubbing, then put it back in the tank where it goes.
