I have a 150g 5 foot SC aquarium and had a builder build me a custom stand for it. Like most glass tanks he left the top open so the tank just sits on the edges.

I had someone just tell me that SC aquariums need to sit on a flat top stand with foam like acrylic tanks do. Since they dont have a bottom rim around the edgr. plan on calling them Monday but does anyone have any knowledge on this topic? Not looking forward to needing to modify the stand.

Thanks!

I know theyre shipped from SCA with a foam board. A forum friend here had his SCA bottom panel let go just last week and he was using the supplied foam. From what I understand any rimless tank is supposed to sit on a flat panel with foam.
