SC aquariums

I’m surprised no one wants to share any pictures of their tanks.
My SCA 120. I only bought tank and stand. Been battling cyano lately and some corals need to be glued on rocks

50g cube here in my build thread. My tank is ancient by SC standards, approx 11 years old, been through a zillion hands.

Thanks for posting the pictures and responding. I’m still on the fence about buying one of there tanks. I only want the tank. The rest of the system will be a custom setup. I’m looking at the sc150 however I’m planning on having it drilled for a peninsula style setup.

I have a sca 120 and have been happy with it for the most part. If I had to do it over I would definitely go with the 150 drilled as a peninsula style. The extra foot of space and the better flow without the internal overflow would be amazing! Still a great tank for a great price though.

I have a 150, no qualms minus the glass quality, I’d like a clearer glass in the future…but for now this tank lives in the garage and serves the purpose I bought it for. Completely rock solid so far (1year) has also been through a earthquake….also a puny 5.9

My SCA 80G cube is about 6 years old now. Rock solid, no seam issues, starfire glass is still clear as day one.

Steve(not sure he's still the guy), is great to talk to and knows his stuff. Never had an issue with their CS. I had a couple parts missing when the tank got delivered, called up steve, had parts 2 days later. Broke the skimmer lid, called him up, 2 days later new lid in the mail.

I know many people with SCA tanks, and all are quite happy with them.

was wondering about quality of build, shipping and customer support. They have had some bad reviews in the past as wondering how they perform currently. Did you get their stand and if so how did you like it? I am looking at a 150 what do you have?

Thanks
I have the 150 with the stand & Ghost overflow.............the build quality of the tank & stand are very nice. Go for it, you won't be sorry.

I bought mine used so I can't comment on their customer service aspect.

I'll see If I can snap some pics for you.

How good was the build quality on your tank?
Build quality is very good. I forgot to mention that I like it so much that I bought a 50 cube with stand when they were on sale! The wood stand I got is good quality as well, no complaints.

SCA 150 for 2 years now.

moved from Red Sea 425xl.

Love it! I’d say for the price go for it!

as for the stand , I had a stainless steel stand with a 60 gallon sump installed

I just saw my first SC tank at LFS. I think I'm in love, will let you know in the near future if I pull the trigger.

I just bought the SC112 tank from them. Should be here any day. Will post pics and give opinion when it arrives. Everyone I spoke to raves about their quality.
I think you'll be happy for the price point for a 3 sided starfire glass tank. If you bought the stand, avoid the MDF like the plague, its hot garbage. The wooden stands are ok.

I've had a 90g SCA cube for a couple years now. The seams and glass cut quality are pretty good BUT, the front pane has clouded over. This issue has been described in other threads as well. SCA refused to warranty or do anything about it. So beware, if you don't get one of the good ones, and you have issues down the line, their warranty may not be of any use.

I just want to update everyone .

since that post I am without a fish tank. 2am the seam busted on the front. Contacted SCA and told them my sister isn’t here anymore to provide invoice they requested and pretty much I was SOL. I considered buying again from them , but because the service that was provided when speaking was like Your on your own type of attitude I decided to look elsewhere.

just my 2 cents and experience!
