I’m trying to figure out the flows on my SCA 120, so I can order the pumps. Going to use Two Return Pumps, one for the Center Return, and one for the two drilled auxiliary returns. There are a total of Five 1” Bulkhead Opening in the Aquarium.

Overflow is 11-3/8” X 5-3/8” with 25 Weir Openings @ 1-3/8” X 1/8” plus Six at the bottom. Not really worried about the capacity of the Dursos, as it will be Two 1” Drains. Also the Return inside the overflow is 1” reduced to 3/4” Tee’d off and reduced to 1/2” for Loc/Line. There are also Two 1” Returns Drilled into the back of the Aquarium, that are reduced to 3/4” Loc-Lines.

Return 1”

Well, I'm running a Sicce SDC 9.0 (set to @45%) on my 160-gallon display (200-gallons total), and that's split with a Y-adapter to dual 3/4" returns. Definitely go with DC pumps as you'll probably need to adjust the pump speed(s) to get the same flow out of all three returns. Off the top of my head, something like a Sicce SDC 7.0 for the drilled auxiliary returns and a Sicce SDC 6.0 for the center return should work or a pair of Sicce SDC 7.0s if you want to run the same pump.

Last I checked I think I was getting somewhere between 650-750 Gph with the Sicce SDC 9.0 through the dual returns (so half of that for each) with the stock Red Sea 3/4" return plumbing.

Trying to figure out what speed to put mine at for a 150 gallon. I was at 100% now its 80% is that still too much?

Found out my Aquarium was made by Crystal Dynamics Aquarium Manufacturing. Running a Simplicity 1000 and a 1600, wide open with about a Four Foot lift, the Weir doesn’t get overloaded, and spill over the top of it. I found several Internet Sites, that told how to figure the Weir GPH Capacity.
