Cool! It looks like the rear 2x frame coming across still gives plenty of clearance for the bulkheads to get tightened. Thanks for the photo, I appreciate it!

Question, approximately how much water do you think drains into the sump when you shut down your pump for maintenance or feeding? I'm trying to figure out if I can use a 30 gallon sump I have temporarily until I build my DIY 55 gallon sump. Do you think it drains more than 2 inches from the display tank? Thanks for the help!

That variable changes. You can limit the about if drainage a few ways. But I would say about 2” total if that drains in my setup

Cool! I'm figuring that as long as it's under 2 inches I should be fine. I can just lower the water level a little bit until I set up the new tank.

Here’s some updates on the system!
- I switched to barebottom after a constant battle with algae in the sand.
- The Kessil H380 is a power house of a light that keeps Po4 in check to the point i never have to do water changes again if I decide to start dosing.
- I ditched the Gyres for MP40’s. I feel they do a better job in a 48” tank.
- Switched to a BRS deluxe single reactor as I never ended up using both canisters in my dual setup.
- Added a Apex EL; it’s cool but still trying to figure out some features.
- Also built a 150G mixing station in the garage. Not having to keep 5G buckets full of water everywhere is heavenly!

Some upgrades came in today! Getting rid of my T5 reefbrite combo and putting up these Orphek Atlantik V4 compacts.
Also selling my Reef Octopus-202S skimmer and installed my new Nyos 220.
