Anyone using either of these skimmers? Looking to buy a new skimmer within the next month and only have 9.5 x 9.5 inches to work with. I want to stay under $300. All I really ask for is a quiet skimmer since my tank is in my bedroom and very little micro bubbles. I was thinking about swc 160 but have recently decided against it.

Anyone? So far all of the reviews are great other than the thin acrylic. I think this would be a great option for myself and fellow penny pinchers.

Yea, its a very good skimmer. I just can't find any specs on the pump to give you a good review versus any other skimmer.

It's an atman 2500, apparently you can get different impellers for them. I think I'm going to order it tonight, seems to be my best bet for how much room I have, I have exactly 9.5 inches so hopefully I can file down the base of the skimmer to get it to fit

How would you get the cup off if your filing stuff to get it to fit? Oh my bad on the pump, how the heck did I miss that?? Then I would guess it has the same L/H air intake as the others that use it. I'd definately use it.

Site says the 302 uses the PH 2000. Thats how I missed it. It just says PH on the pump itself, and not Atman. That and I just went to the new web Site. My bad.

Hmm, that changes things. Maybe I'll try it anyway. I don't really have many options without spending close to $300.

Its only 250lph lower than the 2500 model. Can't go wrong.

I have the bubble magus NAC77 which uses two of the Atman 2500 pumps with upgraded impellers and this skimmer absolutely rocks! Noise level for both pumps is quieter than my old Reef Octopus NWB200 and skims like a champ!

With the older pumps I read about the issues with the stock impellers, mostly those with the mesh wheel impellers had problems but all newer models come standard with the needle wheel impellers now.

This picture is when I was redoing the system. It's all taken down now and I have to figure out how to cram all of that into the stand of a 4ft 120!!
