SCA 50 -- Where do you leave your ATO reservor?

SCA 50 setup or anyone with a 24x24 stand, where do you leave your ATO reservoir? The SCA50 sump already taken so much space, checking to see if there anyway to leave it inside the tank for clean setup. Maybe around 5gallon.

Depends on everyone's set up. With my old SCA 120 there was no room in the sump area unless I ordered a slim ATO reservoir from say Advanced acrylics. In most cases if you can fit it in the stand it would go next to the stand. Maybe in another similar cabinet style/color to match the tank stand. Just make sure it is not higher than the sump or you may have back siphon issues. Where the ATO reservoir dumps all your top off water in the sump.

Yeah, trying to avoid another stand next to it, or placing it outside as it's becomes clutters

Check out Advanced Acrylics website for their slim ATO Reservoirs. You might be able to squeeze one in the stand. If not one next to the stand may not look too bad. For that size tank I would go with a 5gal or larger. A full 5g reservoir should last you 7-10 days roughly. Possibly longer

I've seen people convert an ottoman or other small piece of furnature and put the container inside with the line running out the back.

You and make a plant stand (box) put the plant on top which would look totally normal.

I have a small reservoir on the inside of my SCA 50. I really didn’t want one on the outside so it is the biggest size that I could find.

@JT26 if you’re going to be out of town and don’t care about the look then maybe you can use a side container to give you more capacity while you’re out. Then a smaller 5G that will fit in your stand
