Hello all, I’m thinking of ordering a SCA tank with the coast to coast overflow option but there are no pictures of this type of overflow on one of his tanks. He said he could do it.

If anyone has one or has a picture of this set up please share it. I can ask Steve but wanted to check with the community first.

Thanks

I ordered the tank from SCA

Tank will arrive in a few weeks. I build the stand and it’s covered in my build thread. I’ll also post pictures of this tank when it arrives and the whole set up of it

oh man thats a nice one I have there 90 gal. but i'll admit I like your better... :D
guess its there 150?

you gonna run it as a peninsula?

It’s right around 130-135ish gallons. I went with a custom size to fit my needs. Yes it will be a peninsula.

well I do hope you do a build thread I for one would love to drool over this beauty. I love peninsula and some day I will have one but for now I got to get my 90 moved to its new home.

When I Googled SCA...New York Sexual Compulsives Anonymous came up. I didn't realize they made tanks. ;Joyful
That's great ! LOL Once I was googling something reef related & end up at some Marijuana growers forum ! I got out of there quick ! The feds had to be watching that ! lol

When I googled it I was directed to THE South Carolina Aquarium but eventually found it.

Sadly I think their website needs a LOT of work. I ended up emailing them and got a reply which I need to answer now that I think about it LOL.

Website is terrible. The 'about' us page is unreadable.

Yes Steve at SCA was offering this custom design rimless but something about the Eurobrace gives me peace of mind so I stuck with it. He assured me that I would still be able to get my hand down in the overflow.

Btw, I am covering this build in my build thread. I don’t know if there is a rule against posting a link to it but shouldn’t be to hard to find if you view my signature.

Add the word "aquariums" to SCA google searches. They're called SC Aquariums (or SCA for short) <--- LINK

They just launched a new site, so if you want a nice tank make sure to email them to see what they can do. Otherwise the site may be missing some bits of info or options.

I didn't go with a coast to coast, but I did go custom. I love that they do approval drawings to make sure everything is right. Mine was drilled for a single return and a Synergy Ghost overflow.

Don’t give up on the thread! I was excited to see one and will be sure to post my new tank there. BTW Steve just sent me the tracking number for the tank. It’s on its way! Woohoo!

Edit: I had ordered the tank in May.
