I've had a sca302 running for a couple weeks and doing good. Today with the cup about half full it started overflowing really fast. I figured it had already broken in but I still hadn't turned the pipe past one. I checked my air line and everything is clear. I have the tube set on zero right now and its still just dumping over.
I have not added anything to the tank that would have caused it. Is it still trying to break in?

Have you used brand new filter socks or any foods or hand lotion that had oils?

Nope nothing different or new BUT I did add reef roids to my return chamber with the pumps on where I normally always turn pumps off and feed manually, thats the only thing different I did. Would that have caused it? It was maybe 20 minutes after that.

Reef Roids may be doing it. I suggest turning off your skimmer for at least 30 minutes when feeding corals. I had a 302 a while back and it was a solid skimmer, set and forget. What water depth do you have it in, does the water level change in the skimmer area?

I have it at 9". Water level is always the same. I'll start turning it off for feeding.
I'm coming off a sca301 so this is a beast compared.
