Scag....scat...that's a horse of a different color :)
Although scat were named for their purported habit of feeding on offal, the name of the genus Scatophagus means "dung eater".[5] it may be a misnomer as this behaviour has not been confirmed in diet studies.
Apparently not that different a colour...

My tangs eat enough poop in my tanks. I don't need anything else to do cleanup "doody" right now. :)

Lol, token literally said welcome and that they didnt know of the fish. I dont know how that was rude at all btw.

We were genuinly confused by what a scag was because it isnt a thing
Mabe I have a sense of humor that yall didn't get sorry for the lame humor

I'm not personally a big fan of scats. They don't have a lot of color and personality, they have a big bioload, and they aren't reef safe. They won't go around like an angelfish or puffer and eat big bites of coral, but they will still cause problems. Fleshy LPS, softies, and anemones will be lunch, and SPS are at risk. I also don't like how brackish fish look in a reef, it seems unnatural to me. They do eat aiptasia, so they have that going for them. If you want something that will eat aiptasia, I suggest a Molly Miller blenny. They aren't big on color, but they don't take up much space and they do have personality. They might eat rock flower anemones and small mushrooms, though. Hope this helps!
