Hey guys, I first noticed this little guy on the base of a frag plug that had been buried in the sand. It appeared that it was dead, so I didn't think much of it. I moved the plug onto a piece of rock and a few days later it's moved off the plug and onto the rock! I'm assuming it's some sort of mollusk. It almost looks like a little scallop. Any thoughts and/or concerns? Thanks in advance, sorry the pics aren't top notch.

Yup some sort of sessile bivalve, a neat little filter feeder but keep an eye on it as it grows. If it dies I would remove it immediately so it doesn't affect water quality. It will also probably try to spawn occasionally which may make the water a little cloudy, just do a good sized water change to clear it up.

They’re pretty cool. I’ve never seen the spawn , but I do have more then I used to. Lol.
