Scallop?

Hi all my tank has been running for around 4-5 months and i found this guy in the first chamber of my sump. It looks like a scallop but I’m really not sure any help IDing this guy is appreciated
Btw the only way i can think that this guy could have gotten jn my tank is with my live rock that i got. It is keys rock. I dip everything but didn’t dip the rock.

Definitely a scallop. Not so sure it’s a flame scallop. Perhaps it will need to grow out more to see. But I believe scallops are the only endobenthic bivalves that can move and are semi-sessile. They move to escape and evade. Clams, oysters, mussels, etc are sessile and can’t move. I’d try to keep it if possible.

I put it back in the first chamber of my sump where it was. I didnt want to stress it out so much as it is really cool and i would like to see it grow.

Flame scallops are actually a type of clam, so clams can move. I'm having a hard time seeing how this one moves. Flame scallops move in a forward motion, while scallops move backwards.

It looks to be moving forward.
