Was messaged in response to a post looking for a specific coral . The first pic is the messsage . The second pic is the proof picture that the person really had the coral . Wonderful photoshop job

It’s sadly widely spread that posting a want to buy thread will often get replies from scammers. That one is laughably bad though.

Clearly he owns the coral. How can you argue with a picture where he is holding a card with his name and date and has the coral in the same picture.

Listen, this is clearly a reverse psychology attempt. It really is the guy, and the photoshop is so bad, its actually reality. Id call Carlos, I mean Mike, actually it was David and send him a google play code for $100 dollars to get that snazzy coral he has.

He put my name on it. Says his phone won’t take videos I asked for a video and he said he couldn’t take a video but would put my name on a card and send me a pic with the coral in the picture

I have considered posting a WTB thread just to play along with scammers.
My mom used to enjoy getting phone calls from scammers because she would make it a game to see how long she could keep them on the phone.

I ask for email to send payment and sign them up for a buch of junk and add sites.. Scammers only need 1% to pay and its still 100% profit

Got the same message from a different username (don’t remember, as their message disappeared from my inbox shortly after texting). The person sent me pics from google images. Knew then it was a scam!

These days they record your voice and use AI voice cloning to leave phone messages that sound exactly like you asking for money - or to bypass voice biometric security.
