SCAquarium review anyone? Please!

Exactly! An extra $150 is chump change when u factor in the price of the whole setup. Not to mention the risk of damaging it when you load/unload yourself picking it up from the depot. This way Miracles or the shipping co is responsible for it all the way up to your doorstep!
Do update this thread when you do order/receive it. I'd love to follow your progress.

Hi Fragit & BlueDevil, I ordered my tank 2 wks ago through Derik from Miracles. Here are the specs:
Custom Aquarium 60"l X 24"w X 28.5" h, 3/4" Glass All Around, Starphire Front and Ends, Tempered Back With 2 Notches and 2 Return Holes 1-3/4" Black Back External Overflow With 3 Drains For 1-1/2", & Eurobraced. I originally wanted to go with a tank that was 25 in height which would of been 5/8" glass but felt that after thinking about it do to a 2" - 3" sand bed and stand and canopy I wouldn't be as happy. So after discussing what my options were I decided on going with the 3/4" thick glass & 28.5" high. That will give me 155 gallons when measuring inside diameter. Of course sand and live rock are going to make it less than that. I hope to see the tank sometime by the end of February. Your builds will be awesome!

@Dlefty - Dan, thank you so much for updating us with your setup. That sure is going to be one pretty tank! I can't wait to order mine though unfortunately it is going to have to wait until summer at the earliest. Do keep us posted about your progress when you receive the tank.

Are you planning on an SC Aquarium? I did a video on my complete set up. Im still very happy with the 45g Cube. If I could Id also upgrade my 120g

I was contemplating getting an SC aquarium but they only do 3/8" glass and personally I wanted thicker glass for the volume and pressure that a rimless150 gal tank would have.

With that being said I think SCA is a good deal for a smaller setup that might not have much volume and hence could get away with thinner glass.

Oh yeah Rimless is a whole different story. 12mm for the 150g and I noticed its euro braced. Do they have rimless tanks that size? If so who?

I'm still on the fence about eurobraced vs rimless. Miracles will make the eurobraced 150 with 5/8 glass or rimless with 3/4 glass. As far as I know SCA's 160 is only 3/8 glass.

I have there 90 cube from sca, 12mm starfire, no euro bracing, with 2 mp40qd on it. The tank/stand is great, plumbing sucks! But I reboared and ran all my plumbing the way I wanted it to be ran. I still am actually running the return pump that came with the pnp system. lol I should really put the M1 I bought for it.

@Fishon I just checked their site it looks like on the larger SCA cubes they use 12mm glass because they are not eurobraced. The rectangular tanks drop back down to 10mm and have the eurobraces. IMO when your dealing with that much water the thicker glass and eurobrace is just peace of mind that your not going to wake up or come home to find fish flopping on your floor or in a waterless tank.

Does the tank feel rugged, any issues with glass bowing or anything like that? The plumbing is an easy fix. But this tank is going in my dinning room and it would not be good to have 100 gallons of water on my floor.

The tank is not a Reef Savvy tank but the glass panels were even and the seams were and are great. I have a tank with black silicone. Also this tank is very rugged! The stand and tank are built to last. That being said I have a @Reef Savvy 8 footer planned soon!
