Scarlet Hermit Giving Birth

Just want led to share a video I took tonight of one of my hermit crabs giving birth. I noticed my fish going nuts and walked over to find tons of little babies swimming around. I thought it was one of my perpetually pregnant Skunk Cleaner Shrimp but lo and behold, it was a hermit crab! My Allen’s Damsel, 2 chromis and Blue Sided Fairy Wrasse made a nice snack out of them but I think a few escaped.

Right on. I've had emerald crabs reproduce but the eggs never hatch or the small little crabs don't grow.
Same with skunk cleaners. Had em release but never actually raised the little.ones.

Same here… I have never seen any of the babies anywhere. I’m guessing they always immediately become snacks.
