Scarlet Pinstripe Wrasse

Hi I got a Scarlet Pinstripe Wrasse to irradiate excess amphipods in frag tank and i have a few questions.

1. Do they need a sand bed to sleep?
2. Are they aggressive towards smaller gobies and other fish

No, your wrasse doesn’t need a sand bed. He shouldn’t be aggressive towards any fish, but it also depends on the size of the tank. The only issue could be competition for food, they tend to be more active feeding in the water column, whereas the gobies will feed towards the bottom,Hope this helps

Thank you. I heard they eat baby fish so i wasn’t sure if it’ll try and eat smaller gobies.

I’m sorry, I thought you meant, Psudocheilinops Ataenia. Pseudochelinus wrasses can get aggressive towards smaller fish, particularly gobies once they’re established, that & competition for food. So, pseudocheilinops wrasse, good. Pseudochelinus wrasse, not so good. If you get pseudochelinus wrasse, add all the other fish first, to get them established

I so far only have a tang. I don’t plan anything else. I do however have snails. Also do these wrasse need sand bed?

That species doesn't need a sandbed as they build a mucus sleeping bag at night in the cover of rocks. If you dont have any cover then you will need to add some but a piece of pvc pipe will work if not quite as good as rocks.
Ime they aren't as aggressive as other members of the family and should be fine with your tang and snails but would probably be a problem with small timid fish species.
