Scary dream about invert pests

I had a dream last night where I needed to remove a lot of rocks from my tank.


Once the dark rocks were in piles on the wet, slippery floor, I tentatively tried to lift one piece, and a swarm of black, snapping, buzzing, large inverts started pouring out by the hundreds. They looked like Venus fly traps combined with scorpions.


They quickly scurried toward another pile of rocks, and I was so afraid to move any of the rocks off my marble floors because I thought they would try to snap my fingers off.


It was a pretty frightening dream. Do you ever get weird dreams about your reef tank?

I have a reoccurring dream about collecting reef fish in a woodland stream - emperor angels, etc. with a hand net in a foot of water. I have no idea what that means

You think thats bad I once had a nightmare I used the toothbrush I use to clean my skimmer on my teeth.

In a dream I have had many times
I had a monster reef I had to dive in to clean .
I wake up as I’m being attacked by a pair of clownfish .

I think it might stem from the little buggers being clownfish when my hands are in my tank

Last night, I had a dream that I wanted to lower my alkalinity, so I dosed 2mL of muriatic acid directly into my 260-gallon display tank. I was stunned to find it brought down the pH to 1, so I frantically pointed the powerheads to the surface for aeration.

I woke up this morning wondering if my tank crashed, but I was relieved when I realized it was just a dream.

I have no desire to lower my alk. I would not dose muriatic acid into my tank. Why do I get these dreams???


Does anyone else get weird dreams about their tanks?

I fairly frequently have dreams about TARDIS reef-tanks lol. Usually I'm chasing something like a big eel or a lionfish or the likes of and end up waking up once my brain trying to figure out how an adult Gymnothorax javanicus could possibly fit in my 15 Gallon tank!!!

I actually dreamt about my tank last night haha. It started with me walking to my backyard. then I see my 40 gallon reef on the floor of my patio and still fully functioning, as I approached it I saw there was a massive caluerpa invasion and the water was cloudy. And the pictus blenny I had ordered arrived a day early and was somehow already inside the tank, I don’t remember the rest but that is one of many weird dreams I’ve had surrounding my aquariums.
