scavenger for tank with jawfish?

Would Nassarius snails and Dwarf Blue leg hermits be okay with a Jawfish (yellowhead)? Or is there another scavenger that would be safer? I need scavenger(s) for this 40 gallon breeder.

I have blue leg hermits in my tank with my Yellowhead jawfish. They've never gone after it, but sometimes they'll fall into his hole, and then he'll start pushing them out.
