Hey everyone,

So I have a fish only tank and I have heard you can't have candles or Plugins within 10 feet of an aquarium. Is this true?

I don't think it will help your tank, but for your reference my tank is ten feet from my kitchen and it is fine. My wife uses plugins and candles and incense regularly and all is well. I would avoid aerosols though.

Yeah we have done that, I was wondering because I have a plug in about 15 feet away in another room that you can smell across the house so I just wanted to make sure that was ok.

We use essential oils in diffusers, candles, glade plug ins, oil warmers, etc.. We are crazy about aromatherapy.. And it has never been a problem with either of my reefs or her freshwater tank.. You should be fine..

We use wax melter I was concerned about my protein skimmer air intake sucking in the sent so I made a air filter that has carbon in it that air goes though think it's a piece of mind knowing it's not sucking anything might be in the air from cooking or sents .
