sch 40 pipe w/ sch 80 fittings ?

I think I read somewhere not to use schedule 80 fittings with schedule 40 pipe, is that false?

You are fine. I just finished a build and used 40 pipe and 80 fitting. BRS 160 does also. The sizes are standard so the fit is good and also cemented. Pressure wouldn't be an issue.

Schedule 40 and 80 PIPE have the same OD (outer diameter) while the respective fittings have the same ID (inner diameter). So pipes and fittings are interchangeable.

Funny I just watched a video about this. It was a macna speaker and he said he usually go with 40 pipes and 80 fittings because of the extra thickness offered by the 80s.
