Hello all just after some advice as I'm not quite sure.
I'm putting my 4 x 600w @ 24ov Schego heaters pn my system and wondered if anyone could check my calculations are correct as I want to see if my profilux power bar can actually handle the amperage of these. If not i'll have to use a separate controller for them.

By my working out on full load each 600w heater is 2.5 amps ?
If so I'll be able to use the power bar as its rated upto a maximum of 13 amps combining all sockets ?

Any Help is as always gratefully appreciated,

Thanks
Anthony.

Hello Anthony

Your calculation is correct.

I don't know if I would rely on one outlet to control 4 heaters.

Thanks bpapo.
I do have another plan on using two separate controllers (each with 2 heaters) independent from the profilux.
Or use two sockets for 2 each of the heaters I'll have to work out how many more amps I need for the pumps as I need them definitely switching on the p4.
I might manage it 2 sockets (two heaters each) 5 amps, two pumps independent sockets @ 0.6amp each and the profilux itself.
Or i'll wire the p4 on a completely separate loop so anything goes up the swanny the p4 is still active.

Relay's are more likely to fail especially if they are constantly switching on and off.

Sod it I've bought another power bar just to be safe !
