So I'm in the process of remodeling my kitchen and adding hardwood floors and I'm also doing interior stained concrete flooring. Perfect time for an upgrade.

So here's my plan.
96"x30"x18" 225 gallons or 20" tall 250 gallon
Starphire front and right side panel. 1/2" glass with recessed eurobrace. External overflow. 3-1.5" drains. Beananimal overflow. Returns will be on the top corner of the eurobracing, 2-1" returns. Also extra holes drilled in each corner for tunze/WP40 wires to pass through the eurobrace.

Stand will be Espresso (dark brown) 42" tall or 40" tall. Depending how tall the tank ends up being

I was thinking of making the stand a few inches wider and deeper then the tank so there would be a little boarder around the edge of the tank.
Something like this:

IDk if u can see the border around the frag tank. It looks really clean.
Same as my chicks tank, but hers has a lot bigger border. I would want it smaller

I would do 2-3 doors on the front, and 1 door on the right side in case I ever need to get the sump out.

As far as sump goes, I would make it a beast sump. With 3-4 chambers, overflow into 2 or 3 7" socks.

I'd run a Laguna 4200gph submersible pump as main return, and to feed a manifold.
And a Super Reef octopus XP-5000 skimmer.

2-WP40s and 1-wp25 and 1- mp40.

Lighting.
Prolly go with DIY LEDS Stevesleds.com. Something like 100-140 LEDs @1000mah dimmable by my apex.

Then probably run either 6-80w t5s or 12-54w t5s. But I think I'm gunna try the 6-80w and just keep SPS under the t5s. I would hate to deal with 12-t5s. That's a HUGE pain. I think I could center the t5s and just have 1.5' on each side that would be lit only by LEDs. T5s throw off a ton of light anyways.I think will look ok.

ATO would be same as now, hooked up directly to my RO/DI in my shed.

Well what ya guys think???? Def open to opinions and suggestions. This build will be in the next 2-3 months. So don't get too excited for a build thread next week. Lol

Tank will be built by either CADLights or Leemar

I would also like to incorporate an easier way to drain the tank and/or sump for water changes.

I think I saw somewhere on RC where a guy put a bulkhead on the back of his tank a few inches below the water line so he could drain the tank for water changes.

AND/Or I could add bulkheads to the bottom of each chamber so I could drain the sump for maintenance and/or water changes

Any suggestions/opinions or has anyone else done this??
