I would like to add a school of blue/green chromis to my 80 gallon (48x24x16) to add some color and activity. The only other fish is a large mated pair of maroon clowns. How many would you suggest to make a nice school? I know they might not actually school when they get settled into the tank, but I want a nice group that they will be comfortable with. Our fish club is putting together an order for pickup from a local wholesaler so they will be very cheap.

I would look into something else. I know they are cheap and pretty, but you are most likely going to end up with just one chromis left. Typically the dominant one is going to kill the rest off until it's the only one left.

Yep, I had that happen to me several times when I first started this hobby -- before the internet -- and took me a couple of times to figure that out.
