Schooling Fish?

Ill have a 40 breeder and im lookin for about 5 nice colorful schooling fish?

Any anthias thatd be okay? I was told the Dunbar Anthias have a nice color and get 2/2.5 inches max are about about 20.00 apiece?

Any Chromis beside blue/green ones tha school nicely?

Also whats the best place to order some fish online? I never really buy fish its always the additive corals!

I like chalk basslets. I think you can keep them in small groups. They stay pretty small too.

There are blue reef chromis. They are a much darker blue than the blue/green.

About buying fish online, I've had luck with liveaquaria, blue zoo, and vivid aquariums.

Problem with chromis like a lot of other fish is they don't hold their school as they get older and tend to pick on each other.

Threadfin/blue eye cardinal fish are really cool and maintain their school through adulthood. I'm not sure if they'd be colorful enough for you though, they are silver with eyes that reflect blue.
I used to have a school of 15 and the males would be carrying babies about every two weeks. One of my friends called them "Dune fish". ;]

i have them in a 30 gallon for now...theyre always together...i dont know how big they get but mine are still fairly small...real cool looking...

According to ORA they reach a maximum size of approximately 3 inches.

Liveaquaria gets them in sometimes. The two that I have left aren't larger than 2.5" and I've had them for at least 1.5 years. Its best to get at least 5+ or the school looks pathetic.
They don't need lots of tank space compared to other fish because they maintain a fairly tight school. In an sps dominated tank with large coral heads they will sleep in the acros at night. Very cool fish and easy to get them breed if you have really good tank conditions.

I was sad I lost most of my school when we moved because we didn't have the time to reacclimate them to the new systems.
