jellyfish at over 1500 meters deep. snagged this pic off of national geographic site. This is just one of the pics.
 
I love deep sea stuff. I'm far too much of a chicken to go down in a sub or something, but I think that deep sea life is SO cool.
 
Wow... that's pretty sweet. Pretty wild that stuff can live so deep in the ocean, it's like the final frontier here on earth.

ive heard it said that we have a better understanding of outer space than the deepest parts of the oceans
 
I wonder how venomous the tentacles are, being that it probably has to make the most of the opportunitites it gets w/ food.
 
very sweet find - there is so much of this world we no nothing about - especially the oceans - the deep sea creatures are so wild - some look like aliens! 1500 meters is a LOOONG way down. It is hard imaging how vast the ocean is...

corals" visit WHOI, the worlds largest private marine research facility, same team that took this photo, has the coral videos on their site. www.whoi.edu
