So I got a scolly from a friend in hopes that I could heal it up. It had receded pretty bad. Its been a few months and there has been no change for better or worse. I have it at the bottom of the tank where it receives medium light and medium flow. I feed it once a week with reef roids or coral frenzy. My params are good and stable with salt at 1.026, calcium at 420 and dkh at 10. I dose two part reef fusion daily to keep these constant. 8 mls of the calcium and 3 mls of the alkalinity. My temp is 76.6 and nitrate is 10ppm. I assumed it may be nitrate levels, but my acros and all other corals are doing great. Are there any tips you can give me for this specific coral?

Me I would stop feeding it and tuck it under some shade and let it do its thing.

Thanks for the help! Whats the logic behind not feeding it if you don't mind me asking? My lfs told me to feed the crap out of it lol.

I had a coral exactly the same issue. Less flow, feed with flow off 2x a week and leave flow off for 15 to let it feed.

See how it was receding in the bottom photo, swing it round the corner and feed more. Went plump within a few weeks

Best of luck

Maybe start feeding the crap out of it once it's much happier and actually it'll tell you it's hungry. How long have you had it? If for a few months now maybe it's time to feed it but not much some mysis something meaty. I believe you can stress out a coral more by over feeding it than under feeding it.
