Scoly delaminating

don’t know why, thought hitchhiker, but can’t see anything obvious? It was really doing well for past few months,, 4 days ago it didn’t extend, now one side is coming off in strings while the other side the flesh is peeling off leaving the bones partially exposed.what would cause this ?everything else in the tank is extend/feeding/thriving.

Scolys shouldn’t be propped up high like that

Maybe it’s getting too much flowup there. I think its best on sandbed

yes it gets fed directly twice week. & broadcast fed the rest . Only thing in the tank with an issue at this point. It was lower down initially , but actually improved after being placed there months ago,it was 6-8” in diameter when inflated, .perameters have been very consistent the past year

Scolys like rock placement, not the sand, but like some others have said, probably best to find a lower light and flow location.
