Just noticed this split in my scoly. Anyone have any ideas if it’s going to be a problem or what I should do for it? Had the scoly well over a year. Only thing that’s changed (which I get is a big one for a scoly) is I changed the flow a bit (added a rfg like a week or two ago) but it hasn’t seemed bothered by it. I would hate to lose it-by far my nicest coral! Any help is appreciated

Damage kept getting worse until I finally decided to take it out and dip it tonight. Think I found some sort of worm. It was still puffing up well, but the split got bigger and bigger. Anyway-hope it pulls through

It could be wishful thinking that I found something-it’s so small. But here’s to hoping!!

Well if its any consolation my experience with scolys is that they can heal and even reattach to the skeleton. So I wouldn't change its conditions if it has been mostly happy. You might consider an iodine dip.

I have had similar results. I had one that got horribly damaged in its mouth and died back to just the outer ring of flesh. It then grew back 3 mouths and was a 3 headed scoly.
