Okay so I have a lot of questions about this guy. First, he’s a tricolor? Is that a cool thing? Does he fit under a category like “war paint”, “master”, or “bleeding apple”? Also, he looks very skinny to me. Posting a pic of my other scoly that I’ve had for a few months now (bright pink/orange one) and this new one is considerably thinner. Any tips on how to fatten him up safely? I am aware of the fact that I have to feed my scolies, but I don’t want to shock this guy with too much food if that makes any sense. Anyway, that’s it for me, thanks to anyone that reads this!
My new scoly!! Just btw, the streaks are turquoise, not white or bleaching or anything like that.

My other scoly that looks much healthier (if anyone can ID this into a category as well I’d be very thankful!)

nice scolys!! Look up UFO Scoly, your new one reminds me of that pattern. very beautiful!

Low flow, low/medium light, and suggest not to feed it until it starts putting tentacles out. Forcing it now will do much more harm than good. It might take a few weeks to fluff up and start eating but it looks healthy to me!

Yeah okay that’s what I was thinking, thank you! I feed both of them at night at least an hour after the lights go out. They both eat like crazy so I’m hoping he’ll fluff up within the month. Thank you! He’s currently on the bottom of the tank with low flow and he’s under my (clear) frag rack so I’d say that makes the light low/medium. Thank you!

i have one of those frags too. probably had for 3 months. its alive but not attached. I put in a plastic container with rubble. my lfs said it will attach to the rubble on its own but it hasn't attached yet. any tips?

Scolys never attach, I don’t know what your LFS is talking about. If you flip your scoly over there is some rock on the bottom (it may be sanded smooth), that is where the scoly is ‘attached’. It will never attach in your tank and ripping it off of this rock is very dangerous and is likely to kill the scoly. Just superglue it down (dont super glue the flesh!!) and it’ll stick just fine.
