Hello everyone, I've had this scoly for more than two years, but lately I've noticed something strange. During the night it looks like in the attached picture. What do you think it could be?

I know exactly what it is. I have a scoly around 6 months that’s doing the same thing. First few months were fine then these started appearing and now are there almost always

Mesenterial Filaments are the inside guts of a coral that some species can expel onto nearby adversaries. Mesenterial filaments contain nematocysts as well as digestive enzymes and can do significant harm by coating the target for hours.

I read they go away on their own, but not for me. They are more present at night but remain in the day. Assuming it was territorial and coral warfare related I have tried moving the scoly to several places, and isolating it. Did not help. Other scoly are fine in my tank so I do not know the cause

Bump. I’ve moved mine to be completely isolated. Still doing it. Other scoly and meat corals in my tank are fine. What’s going on with this one ?

Warpaint scoly is always fine

Aussie orange is always ticked off. I have tried multiple locations, low light, medium light, low flow, medium flow. Assuming maybe it’s chemical warfare related I moved it to this rock in front of my over flow, it’s still always ticked off
