Scolymia randomly got a big hole in it

Hello. This morning my scolymia looked perfect, but when i got home it looked like this. It has also gotten smaller.

it has been very happy with tentacles out every day. No parameter swing has happened, and all other corals appear happy.

Any clues?

apparently my hermit crabs had removed the plastic shells from the scolymia, and then my regal angel had a feast. very sad

Now the choice is to sell the angelfish or get a more stable plastic cup. It has worked great until now

I hear you but i personally didn’t like to display a master scoly in a covered cup. Just doesn’t do justice for it and my wallet or what’s left in it.

Just sold it yesterday. Still sad, Idk Why

Bought a new Scoly and within 2 days mouth gaped wide and Skelton showing. My blasto also receded heavily. Turns out my file fish started to nibble on the corals and caught him picking at the scoly. Removed the file fish and everything rebounded quickly
