after 6 years in the hobby I have taken a liking to scolys!!!!! So after a bit of reading an looking at scolys to purchase i have noticed some are very obviously cut will these heal back to a perfect circle? would buying a 1st gen be a wiser choice $ is not a problem but a few that i liked were cut so I'm unsure.
I'm looking for baby scoly's only btw 17g small footprint if anyone knows any good vendors. cali kid corals has baby master an the ultra im looking at atm. but i'm looking for something with an orange/green body baby blue highlights with purple highlights in the center. thanks

It does grow back rounded, but do not expect it to happen over night. It took this person's scoly 4 months to get back to recognizable. I would recommend you buy the ones you love, always - else you may always never be satisfied.

I usually see the better scoly's during live sales and actually in person at your LFS - other vendors include TSA, TCK, maybe even Cherry corals.

Scollys don’t take to fragging well at all. They are a very slow grower.
Even if it survives the cut, your talking about years in healing, and it likely won’t be the natural roundish shape.
Its the main reason they are so expensive.
