Scooter Blenny breathing fast

i added this scooter blenny yesterday and she was doing absolutely fine. Eating right away and swimming normally. This morning she’s still swimming normally but I noticed her breathing seems off. Would this be considered rapid breathing? I have enough surface agitation for oxygen.

Salinity-1.025
pH-8.1
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-10 ppm

Try a water change. Also get a second opinion on water test with a sample to a trusted pet store to compare with your to assure accurate readings.
What test kit are you using?

How long is it in the tank? Did you quarantine it before placing it in your display?

Dragnets aren’t good fish for beginner hobbits and they’re are really hard to care for as they eat copepods to survive.

I’m not concerned with feeding, mine accepted frozen mysis and even pellets right away. She’s breathing normally again after I did a water change

@Katrina71 Breathing is still somewhat fast but nowhere near as fast as it was earlier. She seemed less stressed after I did a water change

Took her back to the store, she cleaned out my entire tank of pods and unfortunately I don’t want to keep her knowing I wouldn’t be able to give her the best of care. I did get a new fish today though. A pretty unique one too

I’m not having any luck stocking my old 30 G. I’m taking it down now and actually downgrading with only a 2.5 G Pico reef that you’ve seen before. I only have one Geometric Pygmy Perchlet as the only fish I’m planning to keep. He’s a lot less shy than I’d expected him to be.

Here he is so far! He’s not as shy as I thought he’d be, he definitely comes out in the open every now and then

“Mine passed after a tank move. He was a great fish with tons of personality. He hid at first, taking a few days to feel comfortable After that, he stayed to the rocks all the time, but was usually visible as he moved around. He had this weird habit of standing watch over my LPS corals. He would sit for long periods watching them.

For feeding, he would not usually take pellets. He would go after frozen mysis though every time. I found the best thing was to leave the flow on when feeding as he had the best response when the food appeared alive.”
