so my scooter blenny jumped out of tank. it was still alive when I found him in tank now breathing heavy like just happened. when I first got my blenny he got sucked into over flow tube ( fixed ) he was fine after I retrieved him out 4 months ago happy as ever than boom this happens. what do you all think will he survive this time

He is still breathing heavy just sitting in rock about 2 and a half hours in since rescue. Idk I'm hoping he makes it through the night.

Anything I can do but wait? I'm just afraid to do anything. Was thinking do a water change would make em more confee wail recovering

I would make sure the lights stay off or lower the intensity in the morning. Hopefully things will be okay, that's a pretty traumatizing experience for the little guy.

Okay he is in a shaded area and light has a slow 1 hour ramp up. The floor was still wet so I am hoping he was not out long

Hopefully he wasn't, it might be worth looking into a tighter fitting lid for his home in the future, they can be skittish little guys and it doesn't take much for them to jet out of the tank.

Mine is usualy never like this like I can stick my hand in and touch em and he isn't phased other fish dont phase him but he likes to swim up the tank wall sometimes. Inthinkbhe just shoot up to fast one time...

My scooter blenny jumped out also. I found him within a few minutes and he also stayed in one spot breathing heavy for several hours. That was about 2 years ago and he's never tried to jump out again. He's 4 years old now. Yours should be fine since he's still alive. He's just traumatized more than likely. Good luck!

I see. I just get rely sad if a fish dies. I take it personally like I did something wrong witch I sorta feel like I could have prevented it somehow but idk I guess fish just do weird things somtimes

If your tank is on the smaller side, a lid would be a great idea. He will most likely jump again unfortunately. My tank is 90 gallons so the blenny has lots of room.

Just something to consider.

I am sump-less. my skimmer/ refugium are hang on. I guess I could cut our screen to fit around them some how. my tank is 40G should be pleny of room i think...

Few still kicking a bit slower but still alive

Not yet feeding time is in a hour.
