Scopas Tang with odd spots

Hi all,

I wanted to ask if anyone knew what kind of spots these are on my Scopas tang. The tang had marine velvet a few weeks ago and was properly treated with cupramine. At start of velvet the tang had visible sprinkle like dots on the body. The fish right now is eating great and swimming around normally. Occasionally will twitch but that’s all. These spots currently look white in nature but not on the surface of the fish. Any insight would be appreciate.

Not knowing tankmates.... but my best guess those are bully marks. Meaning another fish is territorially attacking your Scopas

Those marks look to me to be side-attacks where the dominant fish is ramrodding the Scopas.

In the wild its a bully technique to get the Scopas to leave that area of water thru intimidation.

If it's related to velvet... idk. I don't have much knowledge on thst

I will say I see three other areas of concern:

1) if a fish's fins are constantly flared open (like in these pics) definitely a sign the fish is stressed and on alarm. 99% of the time it's bc its trying to make itself look BIG to other fish. Like a guy sticking his chest out right before a bar fight or ripping his shirt off to show his competitor his muscles

2) seeing a fin nip on the lower fin. A sign of being bullied by another fish

3) discoloration just above his eyes. Definitely a sign of Lateral Line Disease, usually a sign of poor water quality and/or poor nutrition
