Just got this Nasuta and it's absolutely gorgeous!

Look like a yongei and not nasuta. I bet it grows into a "stag" shape and not a "bush" like nasuta. Just a hunch.

Nice looking coral for sure.

It was alrite stevy

Yeh I dont that is a nasuta acro.
Post some fts mang

nope not a yongei. Green Slimer is a yongei. Keep in mind a lot of these maricultured pieces are broken off of large colonies so it's hard to id just based on overall shape of the frag. It's definitely a nasuta. I have anothe nasuta colony from Austrailia thats been positively id'd and the corallites and branch structure are consistent but more importantly the radial corallites are the same

my fts is somewhere around here. I forgot where I put it. I have 4 frag plates on the front and sides covering the tank right now. As soon as i get rid of some stuff and change the rock work I will start my own tank/acro picture thread. Need to buy muriatic acid for the live rock but I'm too lazy.

Can I see your nasuta that looks like that coral. Do you have Corals of the World?

I know this isn't an ID debate. Im just curious.

Here's a few photos that I'd agree with the ID of nasuta. Maybe it's just the angle of your photo. I just don't see it in your photos in the first post. I do not own Corals of the World. However I do enjoy reading it and learning about acros.

These are not mine. These came via google; but they repesent what I belive wild nasuta looks like.

The coral in the LADD photo does look pretty close to the ones I posted, but I just don't see the same polyp formation and growth in your first photo.
