Was at the LFS on Father’s Day getting a re up on my cleaning crew when I noticed in the corner hiding this little beauty. Been there since Wednesday prior to Father’s Day and eating great and looking good. So I had to snag him up

Ah I've always wanted one of these. Such a nice fish but my reef is too warm for them. Im hoping to one day set up a seahorse tank and add one

79-80 degrees but I understand that for long term success they like lower to mid 70s

Hmmm I keep mine at 77.2-78°
No personal experience.

One of those amazing beauties I want to set up a smaller tank in the kitchen for without a heater.

That and a Catalina goby.

Lol, and some margarita snails for a clean up crew.

All 68° to 72° fish.

I should probably mention I also have no personal experience with these, just what I've read which is that they can survive up to a year in our tanks but end up not making it

He seems to be adapting well. :)

Wow I am glad I saw this thread! Beautiful fish but I also didn't know about the cooler temps....I keep my tank at 78.....I just saw one of these guys today at my LFS....was 165.00.....I wasn't in there to buy a fish, but I thought about coming back later. I think I will pass....I would be so [emoji34] if I spent 165.00 and it died within a year because my tank is too warm!

However now you guys have me thinking about a small cooler water tank! LOL! [emoji848]

I would keep it as cool as your comfortable with, it's really a beautiful fish, good luck!

Really pretty, I have a spare chiller and always tempted to do one of these guys. I have a pearly in one of my tanks and he is a hoot.
