One of the locals had a 525XL that cracked and gave away the tank for free. Fortunately for me I was the lucky person to pick it up. So far the only issue seems to be just the back pane has a crack. First thing I want to do is remove that piece and make sure I dont have a cracked bottom either.

True. I have only done glass one other time for an aquarium but not as big of a piece. I am pretty handy though and have patience for these kind of things.

Sounds like a good project. It was free so worst case you waste some time. Best case you get a nice free tank and a new skill
