We had a planned power outage for a few hours. When my lights came back on, the V4s didn’t click on so the tank was very blue and not bright. I went home early to check on the tank and then noticed that 2 chromis were mating. I’ve had these fish for a couple of years and I guess they’re of age and because of the lower lighting (similar to moon lights), the fish decided to mate on my frag rack. They were moving in unison and rubbing all over the sides, top and bottom of the rack. I took video and here’s a still from it. Unfortunately my glass is dirty so the pics aren’t too clear.

They’re still going at it. It seems the male (?) is initiating it. He has his dorsal fin completely out and rubbing everywhere. The female (?) has her fins laid flat and follows the male. But I could be wrong. Not much info online and supposedly they don’t mate in captivity. But still no sight of eggs.

None at all. And I can’t sex chromis, don’t even know if it’s possible. But each had a different type of behavior
