Is there anyone keep scotty fairy wrasse in a bare bottom tank ? There's a list of non-burry wrasses on other thread, but I want to hear from personal experiences.
Thank you all in advance !

Fairy wrasses all sleep in mucous cocoons, safe in a bare bottom :)

I dont know any of the Fairy wrasses the require sand to bury in. They are cave/cocoon night fish. Flashers also. The ones that tend to bury themselves are like the six line, yellow coris, Christmas and those genera for reef safe types.

Thank you Gareth and Anchor. A net on top is a must for these happy jumpers I guess.

You can do a bare bottom with just about any Wrasse. With the sand dweller you can use a small cup or a dish of sand. I have radiants and leopards that use a 4 by 2.5 inch clear plastic dish. The clear dish is so when you first get them they can find the sand better. It’s good usually have the dish in a corner and when introducing the fish to the tank place them right close to the sand.

Thank you. great idea Jimmy

Is your wrasse Cirrhilabrus scottorum? If so I would not add any other fairy wrasses to your tank unless it's a really big tank. That is on of the most aggressive of fairy wrasses if not the most.

Yes saltyhog, that's the one and only one I plan to keep.
